AI (Artificial Intelligence) is the imitation of human intelligence by machines and computer systems. It works by feeding a large amount of labelled training data into the system, analysing data for correlations and patterns, then make future predictions that are pattern-based.

For example, a chatbot is fed examples of real-life text conversations and learn to produce similar texts with people. Another example is a camera that can be fed with millions of images for it to identify and recognize the objects, and so be used as an image recognition .
